Brush Truck to Coldenham for Wildland Fire

At 1142 hours on April 6th, MFD – along with Maybrook FD – were dispatched under mutual aid to Coldenham for one brush truck each to the scene of a large brush fire off of Bracken Road. Montgomery M-224 and Car 2 (Hank) arrived at Coldenham’s command post and immediately went to work. Units operated on scene for nearly an hour before the hard to reach fire was declared under control. At this time, New York State is still under an outdoor burn barn until May 14th to help prevent these kind of blazes.
