At 0323 hours on November 7th, MFD was dispatched under mutual aid to the Walden Fire District with one ladder to the scene of a 2nd alarm structure fire. Initial size ups reported a 3.5 story apartment building with fire showing from the third floor and roof area. MFD Car 2 and Truck 221 arrived on scene along with Walden and went to work. Montgomery crews performed searches of the second and third floors to ensure all occupants were out and then began opening up walls and ceilings for Walden’s engine crews. After the fire was knocked down, MFD assisted Walden with overhaul and packing hose before returning to service shortly before 0600. Walden operated on scene with Montgomery’s ladder, Wallkill’s engine, and Coldenham’s FAST while Maybrook stood by with an engine for Walden.
