At 1500 hours on February 8th, MFD brought out E-223 to test the pump after being out of service at a repair shop for over a week. Montgomery firefighters stretched and operated multiple handlines while the engine was hooked to a hydrant to receive water into the pump. No issues were found with any of the repairs that had been done. Next; E-223, M-220 and their crews drove around the fire district and began shoveling out fire hydrants that had been buried in the snow from the recent storm. MFD crews cleared over 21 hydrants from the commercial districts to the village residential areas.
